Join Us for National Addictions Awareness Week in Parry Sound!
Come take part in a week of learning, sharing, and community support from November 17 to 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day at the Parry Sound Friendship Centre (25 Church Street, Parry Sound).
Hosted by the Parry Sound Drug Strategy, this event brings together local organizations to talk about important topics related to indigenous services, harm reduction, community safety, prevention and treatment. Each day features different guest speakers, helpful resources, and chances to ask questions. Plus, enjoy free food (menu included below), refreshments and enter daily prize draws just for attending!

Naloxone Training with AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area
HIV and Hepatitis C Testing with AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area
Food: Chili, Baked Scone, Fruit Tray
Thursday, November 20
The Journey Through Addictions with Rising Above
HIV Rapid Testing with Public Health Nurse from North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit
Food: Taco Dip, Tostitos Scoops, Oranges
Friday, November 21
Addictions Treatment discussion led by West Parry Sound Health Centre
Food: Sandwiches, Apples, Bananas, Assorted Desserts
